3 injured in accident on I-75

Three people were injured when this car collided with a tractor-trailer and flipped over on Interstate 75 Sunday morning.

OCALA - Two adults and an infant were injured in a traffic crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle on Interstate 75 Sunday morning.
The passenger vehicle rolled over during the crash, according to Ocala Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Brian Stoothoff. He said the injuries were serious but did not appear to be life-threatening.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The accident occurred at about 7:24 a.m. in the southbound lanes near the exit for U.S. 27.
The Florida Highway Patrol was investigating the accident.

We travel 75 all the time and we never see a police officer, deputy, or state police. It is a speedway up there. We almost lost a bunch more.

I travel I75 from Ocala to Gainesville and back again every workday for the past 10 years. Hardly a day goes by when I don't see a police car of some kind, many times in the process of writing a ticket to someone that was using the "speedway". They can't be everywhere everytime, rwrca. There aren't enough of them.

I don't go on 75 very often, but whenever I do, I see Florida Highway patrol cars. They are usally the ones setting the 80 mile an hour pace.
