Ok moms this will be our first year in Ocala for the 4th of July. I know for most cities money is tight so they dont put on the extreme firework shows they used too a couple years ago. Although I would love to take my daughter to an hour long firework extravaganza I'm facing the fact that it's not going to happen.
So what are some of the things your family does? Where are some of the places you've gone to experience fireworks?
I'm open for all possibilities. In town and out of town. Thanks! :-)

from what i hear God and Country Days are still going to be put on this 4th. I think it's off of Hwy 27. We always do our own though with my parents and sisters family. Cook-out, deserts, fireworks :-) It's always a great time.
We have God and Country Day's and it is always done beautifuly. It's west on Hwy 27 just past NW 80th Ave. You can check the Disney calendar, I am pretty sure they do fireworks at the Village Marketplace and there is no admission for it. The Star Banner usually puts out a list of who is doing what the weekend before so you will know better what events are taking place. Since the 4th falls on a Wednesday, we are sticking close to home, hubby has to be at work next day.
we are looking for a place to take our kids to see fireworks, were exactly is god and country day's located at. I live off of 80th behind west port high school? also is it just fireworks or is there more to do? thank you

My family for the last 8 yrs has gone to God & Country out Hwy 27 by Horse & Hounds Restuarant. They have music, food, games, and rides for little ones! Also, Church @ the Springs, which we went to last year...was AWESOME! They also provide bounce houses, food and entertainment before a wonderful fireworks show!
