Flu hitting Marion County hard.

We have all seen the news this week stating that 41 of the 50 states have a severe Flu epidemic. Well it hit my family and it hit hard. My Dad is in ICU at Munroe with the Flu and my sister just called me that she had to go to the doctors today and it is the flu. The ER at Munroe was like a revolving door, one bed cleared and another patient was put in it. We waited only 4 hours to get a room for my Dad because of his condition, he was immediately sent to ICU and put under an oxygen mask. If you have not gotten the flu shot, think hard and get it. The flu is sweeping the nation and people are dropping like flies. My sister was at Bealls shopping, a woman sneezed one aisle over and my sister woke up with a headache, sore throat and aches all over,the flu.

Ugh...sadly it has hit my family too. Both my husband and I are sick, thankfully my 2 year old daughter has not got it yet but shes staying with her grandmother right now so she doesnt get sick. Hopefully this passes soon, I hate being sick!

My parents had it and my dad had the flu shot. It helps but it doesn't stop it unfortunately... Hope you all feel better soon!!

I wish everyone a speedy recovery. My sister had the flu shot and had bronchitis a week later. just a bad year for this stuff.

If you are sick with the flu do everyone a favor, stay home from work, school, daycare, etc....
