my sister just got a car from Son Rise Auto on Pine it's a taurus and looked brand new. The car fax was great on it and had really good milage for the year it was, a 2009 i think. My co-worker and a few family members have done business with them in the past and had nothing bad to say about them. They don't go by your credit, but go by your income and how long you've worked at your job. Her payments for that car is $200 a month. They are nothing like Drivetime, if you've ever heard about them. It might be worth checking out at least. He gets pretty nice cars in and a few weeks ago i seen a cherokee there. But i havn't driven by in a while... The amount of the car is how you're payments would go.. the pricy-r the car, the more the monthly payment. My sisters car was 5,000 with $800 down. So if you get a car that requires $1,000 or so down, you can use the rest of that $2200 to pay off some of the payments ahead of time so u'd have a few months of no payments to worry about. She's had her car for 3 months now and loves it. She couldn't say enough nice stuff about the owner and still swears by the place. Hope this helps.

I have a 2002 Taurus and I loved it for the first couple of months and then EVERYTHING started falling apart. But I really cant afford montly payment unless its under $200 a month but that you for that

Hate to say but I'm being honest good luck on finding a cherokee in good condition for that much. You'd have better luck finding a 4 door car for that than a decent good running SUV. Just because they look nice on the outside doesn't mean anything. The undercarriage could be rusted, if the car is from up north that opens a whole new can of worms. You can't always notice tranny problems unless you really know what to look for etc. So don't go by just what it looks like if you know a mechanic have them go with you.

I would get a reliable Honda accord if I were you. Those things just keep going and they are great on gas mileage. There is a dealership my friend goes to that has less expensive cars and they let you make payments also. I will ask her about the place.

I have seen a few jeeps on craigslist for sale for around that price, and many cars

Hey Danielle, Dawn here, be very very careful about those cars on craigslist or ocala4sale.com com by individuals. Go to Prestige auto on 200, ask for chris. he is the owner, a very good man, tell him a friend of yours from St. Johns, and YES make sure you say that!  LOL sent you there, he will do a very very good deal. and a plan you can afford, if he doesnt have anything for 2200.

Stay away from anything Ford or made by Ford. I have a Mercury Sable which is made by Ford. 2002 and miles are not high. Everything that could go wrong on that car has gone wrong including head gaskets on engine. I bought it from Prestige on 200. I wouldn't buy another car from them. When I approached the owner all he said was their garage could fix it at my cost. Yet I am still making payments on the piece of junk. He claims to be a christian, but a christian would not sell junk.

Call Don's Garage and explain your situation. Our family has used them for years to work on our cars and they may know of someone who's selling:

218 Southwest 10th Street  Ocala, FL 34471

Yes Prestige is AWESOME! We got our vehicle from there and so far knock on wood nothing has been wrong with it. They did me and my family very well. :)

I didn't say that they couldn't be found at that price I said you're going to have a hard time finding one that is in good shape and runs good for that price lol.... Cars yeah you can find al daylong at that price and be a decent vehicle. Now you maybe able to find one that the engine is great but the body looks like crap for that price. If you don't mind driving something that isn't the greatest looking thing around then go for it. But remember just because the body and interior look great does not meanthat the engine runs great. That goes for car and trucks alike. But like I said before your best bet is if you know a mechanic bring them with you to look at anything you are interested in buying. That will save you a lot of headaches. Take them to the car lot to if you think of bying one from there as well. If the people truly believe there is nothing wrong with the car then they won't care if someone else looks at it.
