ok help me narrow it down/ preschools

I think I have narrowed my preschool choices down to 2:

 

Grace Building Blocks or Blessed Trinity Angels in Arms

 

I was looking for a good preschool and I'm impressed with both schools.. anyone have any thoughts or insight on either one? I have people telling me they are both great..

I would choose Blessed Trinity.  If this is the Building Blocks on Ne 7th or the other location, stay away. I put my daughter there last year for summer camp and pulled her out after two weeks. She was being abused by other kids and the director cares about money and not safety.

If this happens to be a church then okay. I just wanted to be sure you stay away from those two building blocks, that's all. Thanks.

I would deffinitely choose Grace Building Blocks! I know the last time I checked the marion county preschool scores GBB did a lot better. St. Pauls methodist is really great also! You need to get on the list asap at St. Pauls because it is hard to get into with a long waiting list.

The regular Building Blocks preschool is different than Grace Building Blocks. I also agree to stay away from the one she is speaking of.

I also just wanted to mention that Grace Episcopal now has a vpk that I heard is great. The director received a golden apple award.

They are both good.   You should look at Redeemer Christian School.   They have an exceptional program there.   I love it.

My kids went to Angels in Arms fifteen years ago, and whenever I run into one of their teachers they always ask about them by name! We loved it, and they were very prepared for school.

My DD is at Angels in Arms and I love it!  The teachers are wonderful, they have a structured day that balances education and fun and they provide food cooked onsite.  They have events throughout the year that parents can attend (santa, easter egg hunt) and themed dress up days and water days during the summer.  They also have a PTO you can join. They rotate the classes by age in June and they will start filling their class roster soon, so you are interested you will need to get on the wait list asap.  I do not have any experience with Grace, however I have heard that it a very good preschool as well.

All 3 of my kids went to Angels in Arms and Ms. martin and Ms Dee Dee took very good care of them.  They do a great job and the kids are well prepared to start Kindergarten.  Then when you start them at BT full time, go to church and tithe your 8-10% and all your kids can go to school there for your tithe and then write off your tithe as a tax deduction...so basically your kids go to school for free (and they get a much better education than the public schools)

Look at SEED preschool. It is in the shores at 674 Silver Road with Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church. They had 100% pass rate for their VPK students last test round. Teachers send their kids there. The directors have been running it for at least 15 years. Their teachers are fully certified. The preschool has been written up once for fixable things such as black tarp showing by a DCF officer who was retiring and wanted to ruin a perfect record. They teach sign language starting in the baby room. It is an incredible facility. You should really check it out. 352 687 1119 Ask for Judy Stuck or Melanie Davis

I love, love, love Angels in Arms!  Can't say enough good things about it.  I have a 19 month old, and a three year old there currently.  When their brother gets here, he will start when he's 6 weeks.

I'm curious by what this means? What is tithe? And 8-10% of what?! A little confusing, but I'm very interested how this works!

I've heard amazing things about both preschools. I know its hard searching for the right school for little ones.  If you are still having a hard time choosing ask to take another tour of the school to ease your mind and ask about the credentials of the teachers.  As a parent we can't ask to many questions.  Both my children have gone to Happy Hearts and I couldn't ask for a better experience for them.  Happy Hearts is all about Family and we love that!  Good luck in your search:)
