PARENTS ALERT!!! Please be on the lookout for a black(bottom) Carmel(top) colored car with a lady going by the name "Maria". Please call either 352-369-7070 or 369-7000 to leave a message for officer named Ms. Carabara(unsure spelling). She approached children at 8th St. Elem and one of them was my daughter!

What was she talking to the children about? Was she by herself? Just trying to get the details out there. I am so thankful your children are okay! That is such a scary thought!!!

She was by herself and then walked to her car.  She asked the girls if their parents are separated.

I would assume it's because kids whose parents are separated probably have more disjointed drop off and pick schedules than those who don't and it might be easier to not notice a missing kid for quite some time.  Regardless, it's personal information that is the business of no one but my family.  What will these people come up with next?!!?!

Agreed. I believe that's exactly what that woman was doing/thinking. I'm not letting anyone get away with that ever. I'll watch out for my child as well as other ppls children!!!!

Wow, this is very scary same thing just happened at another school, dont quote me but I think it was near Orlando. What is this world coming to, its just crazy.

I am so glad your children are safe and I hope they find this lady.

I know that no child care place can be perfect, but did you ask them how this women was able to approach your child long enough to ask those questions? A man could have taken off with a child by then.

She spoke to them through the chain link fence.  Just my opinion but she intended doing it for a while and, as a result, wouldn't be a "stranger" any more.
