My son had his very first ever dentist appointment this morning. We wanted Dr. Ron but as most know, he bills insurance as an out of network provider so most insurance won't cover him. We chose Pollywog figuring I would get my own spin on things even though i've read countless mixed reviews on them. We were the first appointment of the day and they brought us right back without a wait. The staff was very friendly. Row was a little on the shy side not wanting to cooperate at first. They even have a theater in the back where the kids wait in between being seen. It was pretty neat! Looked just like a theater :-) We got his teeth cleaned and then x-rays, for that i stayed back and let them handle him on their own and he relaxed and did what they said and the techs were super nice to him. Then we met Dr. Mike. He was awesome! He was so friendly and talked to row, who was still shy at this point haha, But Dr. Mike looked at his teeth and then went over all the x-rays. It blew me away how row already has adult teeth lined up under his baby teeth. That was freaky to see :-) His teeth were perfect, so i'm glad were doing good in that department. He answered questions and gave us some heads up on things to look for in the future, including letting us know that his two front teeth and a side tooth will be falling out prematurely because of an injury he got two years ago and to get ourselves prepared for it since his adult teeth won't come in until he's 6 or so, so his top teeth might be out a little longer then average.. so i'm so glad he took the time to talk to us about that cause it's been in the back of my mind since his accident, what if anything was going to happen to those teeth. He went over thumb sucking and was just an all around nice guy. After he was done row got to get some balloons and pick a prize for being so good. So he left with stickers, two balloons (those girls there are saps and row talked them out of two hahaha) and some neat sunglasses and thought he was the king of the world.  I'm glad i decided to go and check it out myself. So i guess my moral to the story is to always see things for yourself, what one doesn't like, the other might not have a problem with.  They did let me go back with him, and i assume it's because of his age since other parents were back there as well with kids that looked to be about his age. So i'm glad we went and row loved it there :-)

My son, who just turned four goes there too.  They were great with him too.  I did not go back with him, but I didn't feel that I needed to, as Ethan was OK going back on his own.  The only thing that I didn't like is that the waiting room was packed every time that we go, but that has nothing to do with the care that he gets.  I expressly forbade them to wrap my son up unless he was sedated first because he has anxiety  issues, and they were cool with that.

I had an awful experience there. My daughter was three and they refused to let me back there. She was so scared. Maybe they changed the rules. They said she had cavities on both sides of her mouth and I have brushed her teeth twice a day since she's had them. She came out her face was scratched up and swollen. I was so upset, it was her first time at a dentist. It looked like every kid in there was getting fillings and they were telling all of the parents the same thing. I waited 20 minutes because I wanted to meet the dr. And he never came out.

that's weird. maybe they have changed things.. they let me back with him and i didnt even have to ask. The hygentist lady left a lot to be desired. She didn't know how to talk or interact with the kids it seemed.. but everyone else was really nice. He must of liked it there because he keeps talking about going to see Dr. Mike haha

I wish that was the case with us :)
