Teachers Helping Their Own
A popular teacher at Oak Crest Elementary has been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer and is undergoing heavy treatment at Shands. His fellow teachers want to donate their unused sick days to him to help with the cost of treatment. Right now the way the district policy reads, they can't do that. They are in the midst of changing the way the policy reads. It is said it could take 30-60 days to change the law.
Do you think they should be able to use the days as they wish? My thoughts and prayers are with this young family. He has a 19 month old and one on the way...

I have heard this done in another state and it should be allowed here. There should also be some type of fundraiser like a cook out or a walk.

they should be able to donate to him. There are places that have both in place right now.
