I'm Jen. I am mom to one wild and rowdy 6 year old boy that I homeschool and love it. We moved here to Ocala in 2008 and have enjoyed it ever since. It has definitely been and adventure and I look forward to what's in store ahead. I both love/don't love living close to the theme parks, beach etc. This means we can typically go on "vacation" whenever we want but it also means we typically come back home to spend the night ;) LOL So let's hear those stories moms!

My name is Julie and I am a single mom of a 13 year old daughter..I am embarking on a new journey and I would love all your support. This is something I've always wanted to do and my dreams are finally coming through but I never thought  that I would have such difficulty in finding clients.I have openings in my daycare and would love the support of my fellow ocala moms..This is harder than I thought and I am struggling a bit at the moment. Hi I am Claudia. I have a 1 year old little boy named Philip, but I love to call him Baby Phil. I am probably sure he will tell me he isn't a baby in the future, but for now he is my little baby. I am 25 years old and I have an associates in Education, I am now working on the Bachelors, hopefully that goes well. I was born in Dallas, TX, but left shortly when I was one, so I consider myself not born, but raised in South Florida (Broward County) I lived there up until about 15 months ago when I became a resident of Ocala (Marion County) I really love the area and the less crowded environment, but I must say I really miss my family and friends, therefore I visit South Florida once a month even if it's just for 2 days. It has been a little hard not knowing anyone, getting out of the house pregnant and also with a newborn trying to meet new faces, is not that easy, especially when you don't know your way around. I am hoping to meet other moms and hopefully Baby Phil can have many friends here in Ocala like he does in South Florida.

My name is Brooke and I'm the mom of an amazing 13month old girl nicknamed "Noodle". She is our miracle and my best friend. We do everything together when I'm not at work and laugh all the time at each other. I honestly can't remember how I made it through life before she was born. In November 2011 my husband resigned from a floundering construction company and opened one with his father in January of this year. I'm so proud of him! In May of 2012 I started an airbrush tanning business to position it so that I can spend more time with my Noodle. I'm praying that it gets me to that point soon! :-)

Hi, Jen! So excited to meet other moms!

My name is Jenn Landrum and Aidan Lucas is my 13-month old son. My husband and I moved to Ocala back in 2005 to take teaching jobs at Belleview Middle. I taught there for 5 years then North Marion High and then was blessed to get pregnant with my son. I just KNEW I would go back to teaching right away, but didn't realize how much I needed to stay home once I had him. So, I am currently teaching for Liberty University Online (I was blessed to be able to finish my doctorate in 2008), and I stay at home with my son while my husband teaches at Horizon Academy. It is like having two stay at home parents with the time he has off. We are very blessed. I try to get involved in as many playgroups and activities as possible, with storytime at the library and Barnes and Noble, to the park, in-home playgroups, and swimming. I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Hey Jennifer!

We moved to Ocala about 1 year and a half ago while I was still pregnant. My son Philip Michael is now 13 months old. Currently we are trying very hard to get him to walk, but he only walks while holding on to his walkers or furniture, and sometimes by himself until he notices. I recently started taking him to the main library for story time on Tuesdays, he loves it. I got my associates in Education and I am currently going through UCF starting this August, to get my bachelors in education. Hopefully I can finish quickly, I took time off during my pregnancy and until now, but I am ready to go back. It is very nice to meet you and its awesome both our sons are 13 months old. -Claudia

Would love that! Yes same here, he walks as long as he knows someone is holding his hand. Trying to build his confidence.......I am not really sure the area we live in, I have a real hard time still with my North, South, East and West here in Ocala because I am so used to South Florida. I GPS everything! I live by main roads Maricamp and Baseline. I found you on FB =)
