I was just wondering the same thing. I don't really remember how it was done last year. Since it falls on a Monday I wonder everyone is trick or treating then or the Sat before? I will look and see what I can find out but in the meantime if anyone else knows TELL US!
Halloween is on a Sunday and we will be doing the Trunk or Treat at First Baptist Ocala. There is also Boo at the Zoo in Gainesville at the teaching zoo at Santa Fe. We have never done traditional trick or treating....going from house to house. The city is also hosting a Halloween event Friday October 29th called the Mini Monster Boo Bash. 530-830 @ the American Legion Hall. Call 629-8444 for more details. If I come across anything else I will share!
Usually they do it on the Saturday before if it falls on a Sunday or school night. The Mall is having their usual event on the Saturday before. Gloria Austin of the Florida Carriage Museum is having it on Saturday also. Her event last year was a big hit. If you want to do something different and are able to, go to The Disney Marketplace or Downtown Disney on the Saturday before and they really do it big. As far as I know there is no cost.
WOOPS! Halloween IS on a Sunday night this year. I'm not sure why I thought it was Monday! Thanks for the clarification ladies!
I just spoke to someone with the city of Ocala and they said that neighborhood trick-or-treating will occur on October 31st. I specifically asked about the Heritage Hills area near Ft. King Middle School as this is a very popular location for trick-or-treating.
