Where are some good trails to walk around here? We usually take my son to the greenway on baseline, but always looking for other ideas.

Also, who knows of some cool playgrounds around? I know of Tuskawilla, brick city, baseline and a few smaller ones around. Any other hidden jems worth checking out? We have a three day weekend so looking for some interesting things to do :-)

Jerveyy gannt has a nice trail supposed to. We like going to Liberty park, brick city and baseline too. :)

what is liberty park like? I can't find any pictures on it on-line :-( big playground?

Santos Trail

Liberty park is on the sw side of town. Has a nice shady playground and a smaller trail around it. It's a wooded trail so it is nt paved but fun for exploring;)

i just looked it up, its a little far for us, we were over on the se side of town by the public libary :-)

Yeah it's on our side of town :) LOL We enjoy it and have a great time but it's too far if you are not planning on a park day with friends or something. we only go to the other ones when we have buddies meeting us :)

there is also a walking trail at shalom park, we usually fed the fish there and sometimes have a picnic in the grass. libert park is nice, and in a good neighborhood..

The Lillian park in Belleview is nice. There is a big pond with a little dock you can fish off of and a nice playground. Also, I like the duck pond park near the Ymca.

I frequent the Baseline trail, almost every day, I'm always looking for fun trails to go to. Have you gone to the Silver River Nature Park, they have some nice trails that lead to the Silver River. It's located on Baseline Rd just south of the Silver Springs Park. If you want to take a short drive just past Belleview, Carney Island has some nice trails. I was told by Parks and Recreation that the Baseline trail is going to be extended to meet with the Santos Trail but that will probably be in a few years. If you want to make a day of trail walking or riding, try the Withlacoochee State Trail, it's 46 miles long, and  since it ran along an old railroad line you can find old cement mileage and whistle markers, there is also an old train car on the trail. I haven't been there yet but I am looking forward to taking my bike down the trail. You can get more information by going to www.floridastateparks.org Have fun.....
