My husband and I take family vacations with the kids during the Summer and like to stay at "kid friendly" hotels. Last summer we stayed at Sun Viking Lodge in Daytona Beach. It was AWESOME! the kids loved it! This summer we are wanting to do the same thing but somewhere besides Daytona. Does anyone know of any kid friendly hotels in Florida? We are looking for somewhere that has on-site activities for the kids and fun things like a mini water park at the pool, etc. Suggetions appreciated. :) Sugestions greatly appreciated!! :)

The beach is beautiful and a popular vacation spot for the northern states. There is a small water park with a rollercoaster and arcade. You can also visit a popular shopping area called "The Wharf" where you can shop little boutique stores, go to the movies and ride a Ferris Wheel in the middle. There's a outlet mall also. They have a bunch of new hotels, so I don't know where the best place to stay is. However, I do know the Caribe is VERY nice. I don't know how much money you have to spend on a vacation, but the Caribe is the place to stay. They have two pools outside with slides, one inside and a lazy river! Anyway, I think it's a wonderful and beautiful place to vacation!
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Merritt Island for a weekend and it was fabulous. They had a sand box that was a pirate ship next to their pool. We have also stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree near Disney and they had rooms themed in different styles. One room was a western jail, one was a pirates ship and the other was a barbie style room for girls. The kids had their own tv with dvd player and two sets of bunkbeds. Check with Holiday Inn to see if they still offer such rooms.

Nick hotel has all those things but for me they are too pricey and let the place get too full.
There is also a place in Orlando that is called Liki Tiki Village. They have an onsite water park and all sorts of family oriented activities and things to do. We have been there a few times and always had a blast.
