Comment by Lekeshia Cohen on January 28, 2013 at 9:33pm Hello Everyone.. Many people look at me and never see my disability due to my couragious smile that stands strong balancing my illness. I am told that I suffer from a seizure disorder and despite the rough days I do have, my better days make up for them all in great numbers. I look at my beautiful children daily and know that I am truly Blessed!! I use every day as a ladder to reach a higher level in life, whether it is a small step, big step, or several steps. It is Ideally important, that even though I am disabled and life for me is a little more complicated by a slower pace, my children learn how to accomplish this thing we know as LIFE!!
Comment by Lekeshia Cohen on April 10, 2012 at 11:53pm I am a 36yr old disabled mother of three. Since 2002 I have been a single disabled mom. After witnessing the murder of my spouse and being a survivor of a home invasion just two months after the birth of my now 12 yr. old twins, I was placed on medication for depression and later began to have siezures, that soon triggered a slight stroke and am taunted with reoccuring acts of TIA's. It is very hard as a single parent with a disabilty but by the Grace of GOD It is all managed. Every day is a task for me but I look forward to the Great rewards of raising my kids into strong responsible beings.
