Comment by yvonne wright on December 21, 2010 at 6:46pm: when i was married,me and my husband got relative-caregiver custody of his niece when she was a year old.she only knows us as mommy and daddy.we seperated (me & husband) two years ago and divorced this year. in our divorce we both have custody of her. she lives with him because she is his niece.but like i said we are her mommy and daddy and know matter what that is who we are. she is know 5 and a very loved child. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE BIRTH TO BE MOMMY AND DADDY. i have 1 teenager and 1 adult daughters and she is there sister to them

Comment by Suzanne Gray on October 31, 2010 at 8:49am: The judge denied guardianship to you, but your daughter is on drugs--is that correct? How did you get the kids-did she drop them off or what happen for to you to have with you? The reason I ask is because they claimed abandament with my daughter and that is how it came to be with my granddaughter--thats what you have figure out is what your daughter can be charged with for you to be given the children. Also what reason did the judge give for returning the children to their Mom? This is a hard ordeal but if it is better the kids than it is worth the process. Let me know and will pray for yall.

Comment by Suzanne Gray on October 25, 2010 at 10:56am: how did you get guardenship-if thru dcf- they can help-do have any paperwork on the children being with you-there is also child development services-they are located in Skylark plaza on NW 25th Ave.-never hurts to check with all sounds like they need to be with you

Comment by deborah on October 23, 2010 at 7:08am: i only have gardenship but i have all 4 of mine.their moms a doper and so are their fathers.only 1 good dad out of the group.i am fighting to gain tempery custody.but cant get any help. it cost so much for a lawyer i allso learned my daughter is dateing a sex offender.i have called dcf and the sheriff. hes not on probation . so pretty much i am screwed.she wants the kids back home.
