Nature Buddies provides a safe and fun environment for young children while they learn and experience the wonders of nature.  Fee is $11/child/month.

Children learn the basics of tennis in a fun and safe environment.  The Parks and Recreation Department provides all the equipment necessary although some participants choose to bring their own racquets.  Activities include basic instruction, lead-up games, and individual drills. Ages 10-14.

Our on-going "HPER CLUB" is offered each Wednesday.  No program on school holiday weeks.  Fee is $11/child/month.  The program encourages teamwork, strategy, and fair play in a safe and social setting.

Our "Summer Mini-Camps" are offered at area summer school sites.  Administrative Fee is $16 / child.  Breakfast and lunch program will be available at the sites.  Sites will be East Marion Elementary, Greenway Elementary, and Sparr Elementary.  Activities include inside / outside games, arts & crafts, and special guests.

Marion County Parks and Recreation is offering a new program for pre-schoolers.  Nature Buddies provides a safe and fun environment for young children while they learn, experience, and enjoy the wonders of nature.  The monthly fee is $11 / child and the class meets each wednesday.

Participants will learn basic tennis strokes through fun lead up activities and games relating to the sport of tennis.  Fee is $11 for the 8 week session. 

Youth tennis class is for children ages 6-11. The class will be each tuesday for five weeks. The class will focus on the basic swing technique for the forhand and backhand shots. There is $5 fee and equipment is provided. The program is sponsored by Marion County Parks and Recreation.
