I am a little under 4'11" and I can reach into my Simplicity Ellis cib 3-1. You may want to find a good used one!

Molly, when I am only 5' tall it is VERY hard to reach over a rail. Tammy what all do you have?

Yes. Do not get a drop - side. It's not necessary and it's proven to be very dangerous and companies have ceased making them for that reason.
