Hello,
Welcome! I don't like to answer these questions on the board bc I feel like I will offend someone. I have lived in ocala basically my whole life so far. The best school district we have is the eighth street elementary, osceola middle and forest high school! You really want to avoid north marion and lake weir schools. We also have magnet schools that are wonderful! We have madison street (arts) and nh jones elementary ( math science). Then, we have the howard middle magnet program for middle school students. You would need to call and turn in a application asap now! They are about to start the interviews for next school year! We also have a scholarship called step up for students, but you have to go to school one full school semester first. The scholarship pays for most of a private school. You can also call cornerstone or hale academy and see about their scholarships. Cornerstone is one of our best private schools! St. Johns and grace school are the other two popular private schools.
The se side of ocala is the desired area to live in and that's where you will live for the best school district. Call lauri truluck if you need a agent. You can get more for your money if you live in the shores or marion oaks, but I wouldn't live there because of crime. Some people have luck and don't have problems in the shores, but you really want to avoid marion oaks. The schools in these area are not good at all either! Also, I forget to mention belleview christian is only $3500 dollars and is a good small school if you decide on going to a private school. Please email me back if you have any questions, I would love to help. Sorry for the errors I am on my cell phone lol!
